  • Knowledge to help someone recover their health by guiding them to further support - whether that’s self-help resources, through their employer, the NHS, or a mix.

"Tim's approach to leadership was excellent - very encouraging and always picking out something positive from what each of us had said. This was an excellent learning environment." - MHFA delegate

Format

  • This is an online course delivered through the MHFA England Online Learning Hub.
  • Learning takes place through four live training sessions, spread over four days, with self-learning activities in between. See course structure below for more detail.
  • Each session is built around a Mental Health First Aid action plan.
  • We limit numbers to 16 people per course so that we can keep people safe and supported while they learn.

"This course was a fantastic mix of being informative, empowering and enjoyable despite difficult subject matter at times. Tim brought great energy to each session encouraging us to contribute in the way we felt comfortable either on mic or via the chat, and was he was great at facilitating interesting, open discussions. I feel more confident and ready to go out and try approaching others at work/ home/ other settings directly in order to offer support with the structure of the ALGEE framework behind me. Many thanks for a great 2 days!"- MHFA delegate from Bloomsbury publishing

What Course Delegates Are Saying About CWR Training

"Tim delivered the topic, Mental Health First Aid, in a really engaging and informative style that kept the room involved. There was a lot to cover in the 2 day session but he managed to balance our need for questions and experience sharing  the content really well. I would very much like to see our business use Tim for other subjects too as I really think that he can add value to our learning offering."

Sarah Makepeace

HR Advisor at St. James's Place Wealth Management

"I attended the 2-day MHFA course run by Tim in Manchester and found the course really opened my eyes! As a senior manager within my company, Tim equipped me with the skills and confidence to return to my workplace and feel like I could really support my team. He was great fun and patient with our group to allow us to chat through and share our experiences. It was a really supportive atmosphere and I learned so much from Tim, i would recommend to anyone!”

Katie Forrest

People Development Manager, Dakota Hotel Manchester

“I found the Mental Health First Aid course to be engaging and challenging. Tim's delivery was fantastic throughout the two days, I felt he showed a deft touch in knowing when to go deeper on the tough issues, and when it was time to move on, or take a break. I found it to be tough two days emotionally, but much easier given Tim's style and classy handling of the issues.”
